A few things to know.

Can I just write plain text?

Yes. Start typing. Markdown formatting is there when you want it, and you can open a preview to see your formatted note.

Is AI optional?

Yes. Write and edit entirely on your own, or select a passage and ask AI for help. You review each suggestion before applying it.

Can I encrypt a note?

Yes. A note’s text is encrypted on your device before it’s saved. AI is off by default for encrypted notes; enabling it sends text to an external AI service.

Does my writing save automatically?

Yes. Changes save as you write. The editor shows whether a note is saved or still has unsaved changes.
