The beginning
The first draft.
I started this project as a way to bring my interests together. Writing, design, typography, and technology each gave me something to explore. A writing editor was a place where they could all meet.
In late 2014, I built the first version. It had an editor, an app icon, and the beginnings of an idea. Then I put it on the shelf, where it stayed for years.
Recreated from the original.
A fresh start
Back to the blank page.
A decade later, I returned to the idea. I rebuilt the editor from scratch, giving a project I had set aside a fresh start.
The same interests brought me back: how words look on a page, how an interface feels, and how technology can help an idea take shape. Starting again gave me room to explore those questions with wrtr.
TodayStill writing
Made with care.
Made for words.
wrtr is still a personal project, shaped by the things that made me want to build it in the first place. The typography, the spacing, the small decisions that make an editor feel comfortable to spend time in.
Those details serve a simple purpose: to make a place where you can sit down, follow a thought, and find the words for it.
Thanks for being part of the story.
